Signs you need spider control

Most spiders are harmless, but a house full of webs usually means plenty of insects for them to eat.

Webs in the same corners, eaves, porch ceilings and window frames, no matter how often you sweep them down.

  • Egg sacs

The Mack Vision 👀

Our spider-crushing team

Since 1983, Mack Pest Solutions has protected homes and businesses from spiders.

How our spider treatment works

Spiders follow their food. Porch lights, gaps around doors and windows, and clutter in garages and crawl spaces all draw insects, and spiders set up wherever the hunting is good. Spraying the spider you can see doesn't stop the next one, and the webs come back within days.

Our spider service works on all of it. We remove webs and egg sacs from the outside of the home, treat the eaves, foundation, doors and windows where spiders hide and get in, and treat inside where they're active: corners, closets, basements, garages and crawl spaces. Because our treatment also cuts down the insects spiders feed on, there's less reason for them to stick around.

We treat all common household spiders, including black widows and brown recluses.

How to prepare for spider treatment

A little prep helps us reach where spiders hide.
  1. Don't sweep the webs

Leave them up before the visit. They show us where spiders are most active.

  2. Clear the clutter

Clear the garage, basement and closets, and move boxes away from the walls where you can.

  3. Open the crawl space

Make the crawl space entrance easy to reach.

  4. Wait until it's dry

Keep kids and pets off treated areas until they've dried.

  5. Switch to yellow bulbs

Yellow porch lights attract fewer of the insects spiders hunt.

Good questions

Spider control questions

How much does spider control cost?

Spider control is part of every one of our year-round plans, which are priced by the month and include de-webbing and interior, exterior and crawl space treatment. Call us for a free estimate for your home.

How quickly will I see results?

Removing webs and egg sacs makes an immediate difference, and most homes see a big drop in spider activity within a few days of treatment.

Do spiders come back after treatment?

New spiders can wander in from outside, especially in late summer and fall. Regular service keeps them under control, and on a year-round plan, if they come back between visits, so do we.

What kinds of spiders do you treat?

All common household spiders, including black widows, brown recluses, wolf spiders, house spiders and orb weavers.

Are spiders dangerous?

Most aren't. The two to take seriously are black widows and brown recluses, whose bites can need medical attention. If you think you've been bitten by either, see a doctor, and call us to find and treat where they're living.

How can I keep spiders out of my house?

Seal gaps around doors, windows and utility lines, clear clutter from garages and storage areas, keep firewood and plants away from the walls, and switch outdoor lights to yellow bulbs. Fewer insects means fewer spiders.

Are your spider treatments safe for my family and pets?

Our products are EPA-registered and applied by licensed technicians according to the label. Keep kids and pets off treated areas until they've dried, and your technician will tell you when it's okay to go back.
