Our tick-crushing team
Since 1983, Mack Pest Solutions has protected homes and businesses from ticks.
How our tick treatment works
Ticks don't jump or fly. They climb to the tips of grass and brush and wait for a person or animal to brush past, which is called questing. They need shade and humidity to survive, so they concentrate at the edges of a yard: along wood lines, in tall grass and ground cover, under shrubs, in leaf litter and along fences and stone walls.
Our treatment targets those areas. We treat the edges, beds and shady zones where ticks wait, and repeat the treatment through tick season as new ticks become active. We also point out the habitat changes that make the biggest difference: keeping grass short, clearing leaf litter and brush, and putting a dry border of mulch or gravel between the lawn and the woods.
Ticks can carry diseases like Rocky Mountain spotted fever, ehrlichiosis and Lyme disease, and lone star tick bites are linked to alpha-gal syndrome, an allergy to red meat. Fewer ticks in the yard means less risk for your family and pets.

Tick control questions
How do I know if I have a tick problem in my yard?
If you're finding ticks on your pets or family after time in the yard, you have ticks. Yards with tall grass, brush, leaf litter or a wooded edge are at the highest risk, and we can inspect and show you where they're concentrated.
How often should my yard be treated for ticks?
Every 4-6 weeks during tick season, which runs from spring through fall. Frequency can vary with your yard and how much wildlife passes through.
Is tick control included in your pest control plans?
Yes. Exterior tick treatment is part of our Premium and Ultimate plans, along with exterior flea treatment and mosquito treatment.
What diseases do ticks carry?
Depending on the species, ticks can carry Rocky Mountain spotted fever, ehrlichiosis, Lyme disease and other illnesses, and lone star tick bites are linked to alpha-gal syndrome, an allergy to red meat. If you get a rash or fever after a tick bite, see your doctor.
How can I keep ticks out of my yard?
Keep the grass mowed short, clear leaf litter and brush, trim shrubs back from paths, keep a dry border of mulch or gravel between the lawn and any woods, and discourage deer and rodents. Combined with regular treatment, these changes make a big difference.
Why use professional tick control instead of DIY?
Ticks concentrate in specific spots, and professional treatment reaches them with products that last longer than most store-bought sprays. We know where to look, and we come back on a schedule so protection doesn't lapse.
Are tick treatments safe for my children and pets?
Our products are EPA-registered and applied by licensed technicians according to the label. Keep kids and pets off treated areas until they've dried, and your technician will tell you when it's okay to go back.
